To Turn Defer Updates On or Off

 
 
 

Defer updates is typically used for model documentation drawing views of large models, where applying each property change in real time may take time. .

NOTE:Model documentation is available only on 64-bit systems.
  1. Move the cursor over the drawing view you want to edit. The drawing view border appears.
  2. Double-click an empty area inside the drawing view border. A contextual ribbon tab displays.
  3. On the Drawing View Editor contextual ribbon tab, in the Edit panel drop-down, check the status of the Defer Updates button.

    If the button is pressed, Defer Updates is on. If the button is released, Defer Updates is off.

  4. Click Defer Updates to change its status.
  5. On the Drawing View Editor contextual ribbon tab, click OK.

    The state of the Defer Updates button is persistent and remembers its status until you change it again. The button state is not limited to the drawing view you edited in the preceding steps. It applies across all drawing views.
