To Create a Web Distribution With a Manufacturer’s IES File

 
 
 
  1. Click Visualize tab Lights panel (expanded) Lighting Units drop-down American Lighting Units or International Lighting Units .
  2. Click Visualize tab Lights panel Create Light drop-down Weblight.
  3. Specify a location for the weblight.
  4. Specify a target for the weblight.
  5. At the Command prompt, enter n and enter a name.

    This name appears in the Properties and Lights in Model palettes.

  6. At the Command prompt, enter f and enter the name of the IES file that defines the light intensity distribution.

    You can continue to specify properties by entering options.

    TIP:When prompted to enter an IES file name, enter ~ to display a file navigation dialog box. Browse to and select the IES file to use. Click Open.
  7. Press Enter to exit the command.

    Select the light and use grip editing to modify the light. You can also right-click the light and then click Properties to modify the properties of the light in the Properties palette. In the Properties palette, Photometric Web panel, select the text box and click the Ellipsis button to specify an IES file.
