How to customize tool palettes that contain commands, blocks, and other content.
NOTE:Do not create or rename tool palettes when the Customize User Interface Editor (CUI) is displayed.
Create a Tool Palette
- Click
.
- Right-click a blank area inside a tool palette and select New Palette.
- In the text box, enter a name for the new palette.
Add a Separator Line to a Tool Palette
- Right-click a blank area inside the Tool Palettes window and select Add Separator.
- If necessary, drag the separator to the appropriate location in the window.
Add Text to a Tool Palette
- Right-click a blank area inside a tool palette and select Add Text.
- In the text box, enter the text.
- If necessary, drag the text to the appropriate location in the palette
Make a Tool Palette Read-Only
- Navigate to the tool palette file (ATC file) in the following location:
- Windows 7 or Windows 8: <drive>:/users/<user name>/AppData/Roaming/Autodesk/<product name>/<release>/<language>/Support/ToolPalette/Palettes
- Right-click the file and select Properties.
- On the General tab, select Read-only and click OK.
A lock icon is displayed in a lower corner of the tool palette.
