To Display and Control the Display State of the Ribbon

Display the Ribbon

• Click Tools menu PalettesRibbon or enter RIBBON at the Command prompt.
  NOTE:The ribbon is displayed with the ribbon tabs assigned to the current workspace.

Toggle the Full, Default, and Minimized Ribbon States

• On the ribbon, click the Minimize To button, the larger Up Arrow button to the right of the last ribbon tab.

  Each click of the Minimize To button toggles the display state of the ribbon or steps to the next minimize state when the Cycle Through All option is enabled.

  NOTE:You can control the minimize state or states in which the ribbon can be displayed from the Minimize To drop-down menu. See the "Select a Minimized Ribbon State" section for more information.

Select a Minimized Ribbon State

1. On the ribbon, click the Minimize To drop-down menu button, the smaller Down Arrow button to the right of the last ribbon tab.
2. From the menu, choose the desired minimized state to use for the ribbon.

   The four minimized ribbon states include:

   • Minimize to Tabs: Minimizes the ribbon so that only tab titles are displayed.
   • Minimize to Panel Titles: Minimizes the ribbon so that only tab and panel titles are displayed.
   • Minimize to Panel Buttons: Minimizes the ribbon so that only tab titles and panel buttons are displayed.
   • Cycle Through All: Cycles through all ribbon display states in this order; full ribbon, minimize to panel buttons, minimize to panel titles, and minimize to tabs.
